This Friday, 10th June marks an event held by Ukrainian Students Union. Organized by the LSE Ukrainian Society, students from LSE, and across universities in the UK were invited to participate in a live discussion with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy!
In attendance by: 🇺🇦 Vadym Prystaiko – the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, who also delivered an insightful Q&A to those who attended the event.
This is event is a very meaningful addition to the portfolio of events that have already been organized by the Ukrainian Student Union. Events were held to raise awareness, commemorate, and raise funds, in support of Ukraine, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Past Events Include:
- Action “ДЕТИ/ДІТИ” (children) to commemorate and raise awareness towards the ruthless bombing of the Mariupol theatre by the Russian army, despite the writing signaling that the theatre was serving as a shelter for children.
- Auction dedicated to Maria Prymachenko, in commemoration of her destroyed artworks, with all proceeds going to supply the Ukrainian Soldiers with bulletproof vests, and medication.
- Fundraising Gala which helped raise £10,000, enough to acquire “Drone Parrot Anafi” for the Ukrainian Army.
- “Ukraine Pandora’s Box: Financial Crime and Money Laundering in Emerging Markets” Panel Discussion with experts in the field.
