3 years ago, the Ukrainian population rose in protest against the former President, Viktor Yanukovich, which led to a series of events known as the Revolution of Dignity. Ever since then, the situation in Ukraine and the reaction and strategies of its neighbours (both in the East and West) have attracted significant attention from the international community. Therefore, to understand the current situation in Ukraine, along with the attitudes of the West and East to the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, we must look at the roots of this issue, namely why this happened.
We will be showing a Netflix documentary called ‘Winter on Fire’ which will be preceded by a short introduction of the topic and the documentary itself.
This event is FREE, and we would love to see you all there to discuss the overwhelming events of Euromaidan, and the implications they still hold to this day.
