For the first time Ukrainian fashion to proclaim itself at large scale in the capital of avant-garde fashion!
Eight young designers, yet already well-known in Ukraine and internationally, will be presenting their brands and representing the country in general during London Fashion Week. They will become a part of International Fashion Showcase from February 19th -23rd.
International Fashion Showcase is an annual exhibition organized by British Council and British Fashion Council, which is aimed at support and development of young designers all over the world. Within the international showcase Ukraine will be represented by: Masha Reva, Yulia Yefimtchuk, Ivan Frolov, Yana Chervinska, Yasia Khomenko, Lara Quint, Iryna Dzhus and Maria Bernar. Each of the designers will demonstrate fragments of their collections in the space of joint installation, the unique concept of which has been developed by Masha Reva and graphic illustrator Love Curly.
Ukrainian Fashion Week has managed to realize this large-scale project for the first time thanks to the support of International Foundation Western NIS Enterprise Fund, British Council Ukraine and British-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
The annual project IFS is one of the key platforms of London Fashion Week, which reflects a symbioses of the present-day fashion and contemporary art. The event will be held at one of the most prestigious museums worldwide – Somerset House. The talent and creative potential of participants will be assessed by an expert committee with Sarah Mower in charge (Sarah Mower is a fashion critic, contributor to Vogue US and “ambassador for young talents” by British Fashion Council).
Fashion show of Yana Chervinska in the official schedule of London Fashion Week will become another unique project of the program of Ukrainian Fashion Week in London. Yana Chervinska fashion show will take place on February, 19, at On|Off platform. Yana Chervinska has received this opportunity as a winner of Fashion DNA project.
