The Revolution of Dignity (November 2013 – February 2014) has opened new opportunities for the development of Ukraine. However, the expectations of those who supported changes in the political system have not been met. The impoverishment of the majority of the population is leading to dissatisfaction in the results of the Revolution.
Would it be possible to change negative tendencies? Will relations have chances to be improved? What are the drivers of possible recovery? What impact will economic hardships have on political development?
Biography
Professor Igor Yegorov is a Department Head of the Institute of Economy and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the largest economic research centre in Ukraine. He is working on problems of industrial and innovation policy, Ukraine-EU integration processes, Ukrainian –Russian economic relations. He published extensively on these issues in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, USA and other countries. He co-operates actively with a number of Western and Russian colleagues.
