Orysia Lutsevych is a research fellow with the Russia and Eurasia programme at Chatham House. She also works as a “third sector” consultant to private and public agencies and foundations. She argues for a new paradigm for democracy promotion and civil society development based on stronger citizen engagement and a new theory of change. In the last two years she has authored several newspaper op-eds, and spoken on civil society at international conferences in Brussels, Kyiv, Berlin, Minsk, London, St Petersburg and Sarajevo. She regularly participates in donor conferences and interacts with the European Foundation Centre, Grantmakers East Forum and Devex International in particular. She held the Robert Bosch fellowship at Chatham House in 2012.
