The Ukrainian Cultural Association in the UK in partnership with British-Ukrainian Aid charity invite you to an Online Show – a winter fairy tale “The Reindeer with Golden Antlers” performed by the Lviv State Puppet Theatre actors. The show is based on a poem by Dmytro Pavlychko, poet and activist of the Ukrainian Renaissance in the 1960s and 1980s.

The music of the show is inspired by the authentic rhythms and melodies of the Ukrainian Carpathian mountains region.

The story

Is having a golden antlers an asset or an unbearable burden?

A reindeer with golden antlers roams the Carpathian Mountains in search of sincerity and true friendship. A young boy Vasilko is also looking for a soul mate and faithful friend.

Will they meet? This fascinating Carpathian folklore about the freedom and power of the mountains as well as human spirit will immerse you in an atmosphere of goodness, love and devotion.

The show is suitable for the children (aged 3+) and adults alike!

The event will be compared by Alla Sirenko, a composer and President and Founder of the Ukrainian Cultural Association in the UK (UCA-UK). The show will be followed by announcement of a Drawing Competition with exciting prizes.
