I am holding dumpling workshops at my home in Forest Gate on the following dates:
Thursday sessions are from 11am-2pm and Friday sessions are from 6:30-9:30pm

Dec 19th (Thursday afternoon) – 5 spaces left

Sadly, I am not able to provide gluten-free dough.
You will get in, I will talk you through our dumplings, then I will demo dough-making and fillings, and we will all get stuck in into the fun part – shaping dumplings.
By the end of the class – you should have about 20 dumplings per person. We will cook them all, and if you can’t finish them, please bring a container – they are brilliant refried in butter.
We will make:
CENTRAL ASIAN MANTI – filled with pork and onion and also with pumpkin and barbarries.
GEORGIAN KHINKALI – moneybag shape with lamb, coriander, chilli and spices and the plaited shape with potato and cheese.
UKRAINIAN VARENYKY – filled with kraut and mushrooms
I will also show you how to make crispy shallots and brown butter. We will eat them with lovely autumnal salads and have some organic wine from Les Caves de Pyrene.
I will have aprons, equipment, printed recipes.
