At a time when the world is fomenting and boundaries change daily, CIPR International brings you an evening on 21 May 2015, which will set you questioning, thinking and debating. Effective communication is a powerful tool to engage national and international communities and key stakeholders. Multi-channel technologies have opened up the world and connected us all to events as they unfold. We quickly, sometimes too quickly, form views on the rights and wrongs of a situation. The use of information, disinformation and propaganda in political and military warfare is well documented.

During this event you will learn how one group of Ukrainian communication professionals has developed a strategy for engaging key regional, national and international stakeholders. You will also hear how communication strategies are being used in the Baltic States to reach disaffected communities.

The speakers at this event are experienced communicators with understanding of the strategies used to influence key stakeholders about the events in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.

Warwick Partington is a strategic communications consultant and managing director of the MTM Centre for Leadership and Management Development who works with clients in the Baltic States.

NPNataliya Popovych is co-founder and board member of the Ukraine Crisis Media Centre – an independent volunteer organisation of communication professionals that aims to provide a balanced, objective centre for international media enquiries, visiting politicians and international observers. As President of PRP, a Moscow-based communications consultancy, Nataliya is also leading a government communications reform project in Ukraine, which includes developing a unified information policy for the country.

After their presentations there will be an opportunity for questions from the floor.
The event will be followed by an informal networking session over drinks and nibbles.

Organizer of the event: CIPR International

CIPR International is one of the largest sectoral groups of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. The group extends a warm welcome to PR professionals across the globe.
