About this concert
Ukrainian soprano Olena Tokar made her breakthrough in 2011 with the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project. She won the ARD International Music Competition in Munich the following year and went on to represent her homeland as a finalist in the 2013 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
She makes her Wigmore Hall debut with an enchanting programme of German, Russian and Czech songs.
Olena Tokar is a member of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists scheme
