This opening concert tells the story of the reclusive, yet subversively-voiced, poet Emily Dickinson, who has become something of a lesbian idol. Songs and poems by Ned Rorem, Andre Previn, Aaron Copland, Raymond Yiu, Lee Hoiby, Jake Heggie, Julian Philips, Juliana Hall.
The Somewhere Over the Rainbow concerts will be combined with a photo exhibition The Borderline series by talented photographer Felipe Tozzzato. Viewing from 12:30pm on each concert day.
All lunchtime concerts are free admission.
