Beethoven Cycle Concert 3:
Variations on Wenzel Mueller’s
“Ich bin der Schneider Kakadu”
(I am the tailor Kakadu), op. 121a
Trio in E-flat major, op. 1 no. 1
Trio in B-flat major, op. 97 (“Archduke”)

“Simply World Class” is the description made by the Germany press of the London Piano Trio.

The London Piano Trio’s third and final concert in their Beethoven cycle begins with Variations on Wenzel Mueller’s “Ich bin der Schneider Kakadu” (I am the tailor Kakadu) Op. 12a from 1816, the Trio in E flat major Op. 1 No. 1 from 1795 and finishing with one of Beethovens best known works, the trio in B flat major Op. 97 ‘Archduke’ written in 1816. After the works of Haydn and Mozart, Beethoven took the trio genre to new heights and technical demands and we hope to see you for all three concerts in the series.

For the past 15 years the London Piano Trio have been touring, recording, and teaching across the globe to rave reviews. Upcoming tours include a 10 city tour of China in 2016 and a Far East Tour in 2017. Their interest in promoting English music has resulted in them recording the complete trios of Donald Francis Tovey, Henry Cotter Nixon, and Cecil Armstrong Gibbs, with many premiere performances in places such as Dubai, Singapore, Manila, Naples, and Paris. They have actively commissioned works by composers such as Christopher Gunning, Jed Balsamo and Gavin Bryers.

OlgaDudnikOlga Dudnik was born in Ukraine into a family of professional musicians. From an early age she has been giving concerts in the most prestigious musical venues throughout the Soviet Union and winning numerous prizes and competitions.

In London Olga made her Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall debuts with a BBC live broadcast and has appeared with numerous orchestras including London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Her performances received great critical acclaim.

Since 1999 Olga joined the staff at the Guildhall School of Music and combines a teaching career with a busy schedule of piano recitals, concerto and ensemble appearances across Europe. Her two solo CDs featuring romantic virtuoso works were received with great enthusiasm.
