About the artists

Kamila Bydlowska recently graduated from the Royal College of Music with an Artist Diploma in Performance where she was under the tutelage of Ani Schnarch, supported by Jacqueline Ward Award.  She previously studied at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, USA, where she was awarded a full scholarship and also served as a teaching assistant. Kamila has won prizes at numerous competitions including the National Society of Arts and Letters Competition in Bloomington and the Matinee Musicale Competition in Indianapolis (USA),the Premio Citta di Padova  in Italy and chamber music competitions in Croatia, Germany and  Slovenia. She is also a winner of the  the Ealing Festival Concerto Competition. Performances  as a soloist and a chamber musician include: the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, St. James’s  Piccadilly, the National Gallery, St Martin-in-the Fields, Queen Elizabeth Hall at the  Southbank Center,  the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, Victoria& Albert Museum, Stainway Hall. As a soloist she recently appeared  with the Angel Orchestra, Chamber Academy Orchestra, Croydon Symphony Orchestra and  Ealing Symphony Orchestra and the nearest  engagements include Wieniawski concerto no 2 with the Worthing  Symphony Orchestra and Szymanowkski Concerto no 2 with the North London Symphony Orchestra. Kamila is a Concordia Foundation artist and a member of iPalpiti Ensemble of International Laureats based in Los Angeles. She performed at Bowdoin International Music Festival  ( USA), New Virtuosi ( Italy), Keshet Eilon( Israel), iPalpiti Festival of International Laureats ( Los Angeles)  Orford Music Festival   ( Canada), Farm de Villefavard( France). A winner of multiple awards, she is the recipient of the Ministry of Culture of Poland scholarship, Richard Carne Trust, American Music Fraternity ‘ Mu Phi Epsilon’, Anna Sosenko Trust (USA ) Adam Mickiewicz Institute(Poland). She received  Artistic Excellence Award from Indiana University.

Alisa Liubarskaya received her early musical training at the Belarus State Music College in Minsk. She started playing the cello at the age of 7 and began giving public performances soon thereafter. Among her early successes are prizes at the Heran, Beethoven and Chandos International Competitions as well as solo Concerto performance with the Belarus State Chamber Orchestra and a place for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Scheme.

Since 2007 Alisa has been studying in London under Natalia Pavlutskaya and Hélène Dautry generously supported by  the Royal College of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Robert McFadzean Whyte and Albert Cooper Trust. During 2012 Alisa has been a member of Southbank Sinfonia and most recently has been invited as a Guest Section Principal with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and a member of Covent Garden Soloists. Source of information.

Lisa Bucknell has performed around the United Kingdom with the Scottish Ensemble, the Southbank Sinfonia, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Florilegium, and Birmingham Royal Ballet, and recently debuted at the Wigmore Hall. She has enjoyed a trial with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and performed in the Alan Bennett play “Untold Stories” at the National Theatre and on the West End.

Lisa began her studies on viola after winning a scholarship at the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy, and has completed a Master of Performance with Distinction at the Royal College of Music under the tutelege of Simon Rowland-Jones. She has studied with Vicci Wardman, Annette Isserlis, and Caroline Henbest, and has had master classes with Maxim Rysanov, Nobuko Imai, and Jennifer Stumm.

She was a prizewinner at the North London Festival of Music, a finalist in the Kenneth Loveland and Brian Boak Outstanding Performer Awards, and a recitalist for the New London Orchestra Young Performers Concert Series. She performed as solo violist for the Sydney Conservatorium’s production of Albert Herring, and for Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Spring Awakening. Lisa has extensive orchestral experience, and has performed in the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Opera House, Cadogan Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Sydney City Recital Hall.
