By then he had already been touring Eastern Europe as a soloist as well as performing Mozart and Chopin piano concertos with Ukrainian orchestras.Later he went on to achieve numerous awards at international piano competitions including first prizes at the Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kiev and the Shanghai International Piano Competition in China. He is equally at home in Classical, Romantic and 20th Century repertoire and has already appeared at many of the world’s most renowned concert halls, including London’s Wigmore Hall and South Bank Centre, the Salle Cortot in Paris, Moscow Conservatoire and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. After his performance with Maestro Barry Wordsworth ‘Worthing Herald’ commented that ‘The mesmerising fingers of Ukrainian pianist Alexei Grynyuk gave an unforgettable rendering of Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini that even the composer himself would surely have appreciated’.
