Reintroducing Ukraine: a new set of assumptions for what Ukraine is, and is not – a talk by Yevhen Hlibovytsky

Ukrainian society is undergoing tremendous transformation. Ukrainian Institute in London is delighted to invite you to a talk by Yevhen Hlibovytsky, who will talk about the evolution of values in Ukraine, changes in institutions and a new role for Ukraine in the region. He will outline recent events on Maidan and in Ukraine in a wider context of culture, history and politics.

Yevhen Hlibovytsky is a founder of pro.mova – a think tank and a strategic consultancy, which researches values and its impact on institutions in the former USSR. He is also a member of The Nestor Group – an independent expert group which designs a long term vision for Ukraine. Yevhen Hlibovytsky also does expert work for OSCE in Central Asia, the Caucasus and other post-Soviet countries.

In his previous career Yevhen Hlibovytsky was a journalist and a freedom of speech activist. In 2003 he was one of the founders of Channel 5, which became the voice of the Orange revolution, and in 2013 – one of the founders of hromadske.tv, which played an important role on Maidan in 2013/14.
