The British-Lithuanian Society Chairman, Jeremy Hill, will speak about his recent experience in Ukraine with the OSCE.
Jeremy Hill was a member of the OSCE Monitoring Mission in Ukraine during 2014 and was based in Odessa. The main purpose of the Mission has been to monitor the security situation in Ukraine and more recently the ceasefire agreed under the Minsk Accords. Jeremy will talk about his experiences during the mission, the current situation and how he sees future developments.
Jeremy Hill served as HM Ambassador to Vilnius in 2001-2003, during the lead up to Lithuania’s accession to NATO and the EU. He was subsequently posted to Sofia as Ambassador to Bulgaria from 2004 to 2007. Since leaving the Diplomatic Service he has been engaged on a variety of advisory and diplomatic assignments. He is a member of the British-Lithuanian Society’s Committee and served as Chairman from 2009 to 2013.
