Experience Ukraine Workshop with support of Ukrainian Restaurant Prosperity welcomes everyone to celebrate Easter Sunday by learning the ancient craft of pysanky.

At the workshop you will recieve your own pysachok, a tool used to apply wax on the egg, to make your own intricate pysanka “message” while Khrystyna McPeake will introduce you to the secrets of pysanka patterns and colours with her brilliant presentation.

Easter egg, pysanka, is one of the most interesting expressions of Ukrainian folk art. This tradition is very old and its beginnings reach back to antiquity, when in attempting to understand creation, ancient people developed myths in which the egg was perceived as the source of life, the sun and the universe.

The restaurant will also be serving Ukrainian food so you will be able to experience the taste of Ukraine by sampling the delicious home cooked dishes!
