We are very inspired by this music and we are sure it will move you with beauty, sorrow, serenity and laughter. Anna and Lada
We would like to invite you to a concert of rarely, some of it never, performed in the UK before, Eastern Earopean music. Ukrainian mezzo soprano Anna Starushkevych and a renowned pianist Lada Valesova have prepared a very special programme, influenced by Ukrainian and Jewish, Gypsy, Spanish, Chinese cultures. The songs will be sung in Ukrainian, Czech and Russian. Translation into English will be prepared for our audience to help everyone follow some truly beautiful poetry.
You will hear music by Ukrainian composers – Nyzhankivsky, Lysenko, Filtz and Shamo, as well as Dvorzak, Haas and Shostakovich.
