Since Poroshenko’s government has come to power there has already been much discussion in Europe on the need to identify and address Ukraine’s exposure to corruption and its detrimental effects on business.
Sponsored by KPMG, RUSI’s ‘Anti-Corruption Reform and Business Security in Ukraine aims to take stock of the challenges Ukraine currently faces from the prevalence of corruption as part of an assessment of Ukraine’s recent government anti-corruption reform efforts.
It will also seek to identify further measures that could facilitate anti-corruption reform in order to improve the country’s investment climate and ensure maximum reform impact. The idea is to place the understanding of such challenges within the unique context of Ukraine to produce an honest public-private discussion around the realities of corruption on the ground, and the capacity to address them.
The event will consist of a closed round table, two interactive public panel discussion and a drinks reception. RUSI will produce a briefing paper upon completion of the event.
Agenda and speakers to be confirmed.
