Waltham Cross Ukrainian Youth Association and school will be performing at the Chickenshed Arts Festival outdoor Amphitheatre (or in the Chickenshed Rayne Theatre if it rains)
The free festival is on between 10am – 4pm and Waltham Cross Ukrainian dancers, singers and orchestra are performing in the afternoon at 3pm.
The theatre company started in a chicken shed, and Diana the Princess of Wales became its Royal Patron. Enfield Council pledged land for a theatre and Chickenshed is now an international movement that showcases talent at theatres, community centres and schools across the UK. This year’s festival is part of the BBC’s Get Creative initiative.
There is free parking on site – but the organisers anticipate a busy day – so advise the festival is a 10 minute walk from Oakwood and Cockfosters Stations, and the 299, 298, and 307 buses all stop outside.
