Ukrainian Institute and Global Friends of Ukraine are inviting all interested to the charity auction and photo exhibition “Donbas: War and Peace”. Selected photos from this remarkable exhibition will be sold at the auction to raise funds for Victims of War Support Project aimed to assist in rehabilitation of civilians and soldiers injured during the war in the East of Ukraine. After the charity auction, this photo collection will be exhibited at Ukrainian Club (Holland Park 154, London) from 6-8 March 2015.

About the auction

The auction will be attended by the high ranking representatives of the Ukrainian authorities including Natalia Galibarenko, the First deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Iryna Gerashchenko, Official Representative of the President of Ukraine on the peaceful settlement of the conflict and Members of Ukrainian Parliament.

You will also hear from Dr Vsevolod Steblyuk, Adviser to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine who went to the frontline as a volunteer doctor and saved lives of almost a hundred soldiers in the Illovaisk encirclement. He is managing the rehabilitation program of the Ministry.

About the Exhibition

The collection will tell the stories about how the lives of ordinary people have changes irrevocably as a result of the war. It is the story of human sacrifice, dignity and heroism. It was created with the support of Ms Iryna Gerashchenko, Official Representative of the President of Ukraine on the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donetsk and Lugansk regions in cooperation with the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine (NUJU); curated by Natalia Ishchenko and Sergii Morugin.
