Ukraine’s top professional male choir returns with 23 concerts throughout the UK. In a spectacular display of vocal art the first half reveals the splendour and spiritual drama of the Eastern Orthodox tradition, while in the second, songs of joy, humour and heroism convey the rich folk culture of Ukraine – some are accompanied on the bandura, lira and saxophone.
Intense harmony, astonishingly low notes, utterly glorious singing.
Distinguished soloists feature throughout including Viktoria Zabolotska (soprano), Vasyl Pudchenko (bass), Denys Shpak (tenor), and in selected venues Vassily Savenko (bass-baritone). Conductor: Volodymyr Kuratch.
