Book presentation by Olena Yashchuk-Codet: “Paris and London. The Capitals of my life”
Olena Yashchuk-Codet, born in Kyïv in 1976, graduated from Kyïv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine) and The Institute of Political Studies (France).
Artist, organiser of cultural events, writer, co-author and illustrator of “My Paris Story” (in English, 2014), author of “Paris and London. The capitals of my life” (KM BOOK publisher, 2017), co-author of short stories “Paris as it is” and “Metro. The Underground world” (KM Books, 2017).
Olena spent four years in London and has been living in Paris for more than fourteen years. She considers herself as a poet of everyday life. In her book, she shares her observations and experiences of Parisian and London life. She studies the habits and the characters of the inhabitants, the myths and the realities, the ups and downs, tells her personal stories. Two cities ate different and similar in some ways, and despite some difficulties to find her own place in an unknown world, her book shows her love for both Paris and London!
