Natalka Gumenyuk, co-founder of Hromadske TV, is a Ukrainian foreign news correspondent who’s lucky enough not to distinguish between a job and a lifestyle. A bit of photographer, a bit of writer, a bit of activist but always a volunteer. By now she has reached more than 60 countries, but from the beginning understood that it is the people that matter.
Nataliya co-operates with a number of Ukrainian media outlets including Esquire Ukraine, the Ukrainian Week magazine, investigative paper Ukrainska Pravda, 1+1 TV Studio, TVi, Ukraina TV, Golos Stolytsi radio, as well foreign media: Open Democracy Russia, RTL-Netherlands, M6 (France). She is an author and editor of various documentary projects for Ukrainian broadcasting companies. Until 2010, Nataliya was a Head of the Foreign News Department of the largest Ukrainian TV channel INTER and later an editor-in-chief of a documentary project NASHI portraying the life of the Ukrainians abroad. She teaches the Global Media Course at the Master Programme of Kyiv Mohyla School of Journalism .Nataliya holds MA of Global Journalism, she studied at Örebro University, Sweden and Institute of Journalism (Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University), Kyiv, Ukraine.
