More About the Event

Every year at the end of May, we hold the Ukrainian Embroidery March, demonstrating that Ukrainians in London are a powerful community with own voice and identity.
This year we are following our tradition, but now it will be a March of Mothers with the call “Save children of Ukraine”.
As conscious Ukrainians who are working hard to support our troubled country, we must remind that the enemy is destroying our homes, burning schools, hospitals and maternity hospitals, and killing our Ukrainian children every day. Deliberately destroying our future.
While our courageous heroes – husbands, brothers and sisters – defend our country, we will step out to the main squares of the cities where we are now and shout to the whole world about what is really happening to our home.
With this march, we will join the European movement, which draws attention to the situation in the country and aims to attract the attention of local politicians, the media and local society. Similar Mother Marches have already taken place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Warsaw, Berlin, New York, Milano, Vienna, Munich, Atlanta, Larnaca, Paphos, Varna and Limassol.
We must remind about the children of Mariupol, Bucha, Irpin, Borodyanka, Kharkiv, Kherson and other Ukrainian cities. We will shout loudly that every second Ukrainian child has lost its home.
  • Come in Ukrainian embroidered clothes (if possible) on Sunday 22 May at 13:00 at Marble Arch Speakers Corner to march to the aggressor’s embassy and remind Londoners that they can support us with their actions and help stop the murder of Ukrainian children.
