Ukrainian Institute London and AUGB London Branch are delighted to co-host a meeting with Oleg Sentsov. Come to meet Oleg and get your signed copy of “The Marketeer”

In a bogus Kremlin trial, he had a twenty-year prison sentence dished out at him. He responded with dignity and defiance: “I would like to be a nail in the tyrant’s coffin. And that nail will not bend.” Oleg Sentsov has spent over five years in Russian prisons and endured many months of self-inflicted hunger strike. He returned home following an agreed prisoners exchange and was hailed as a hero.

Ukrainian Institute London is delighted to host a meeting with him in London, where he is coming to receive a prestigious Sergei Magnitsky Award. This will be an excellent opportunity to celebrate Oleg’s unbreakable spirit and the efforts of many London-based activists who campaigned for his release.

Oleg will present his new book, “The Marketeer”, which just came out in print in Ukraine. A limited number of copies will be available for sale at £12.

Do not miss your chance to put your question through to Oleg and to get a signed copy of his book.

The meeting will be moderated by Dr Sasha Dovzhyk, a London-based academic, actively campaigning for Oleg’s release in London.

Dr Sasha Dovzhyk is coordinator of the London branch of the Save Oleg Sentsov global campaign. Since the annexation of Crimea and the start of the war in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, she has been raising awareness of the politically motivated persecutions and imprisonments of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars by the Russian Federation. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and divides her time between teaching, public engagement work, and freelance writing.
